What's Required (Qualifying)
We want to ensure that the rental process is as easy as possible
and to do this we require certain infor-mation for our application
approval process. To help speed up this process please have
the following
information with you when you visit the Rental Centre:
Employment Verification
In order to verify your employment we require ONE of the following;
- a letter of employment on company letter
head
- your most recent pay stub
Landlord Reference
Please have the name and telephone number of your landlord
so we can call for a reference
Credit Check
We will need to do a credit check, which requires your social
insurance number for accurate identification
Criminal Background Check
Some of our buildings are 'Crime Free' and this requires a Criminal
Background Check to be complete, and verified, prior to approving
the application for every new lease signed. For this you will need two pieces of ID with name and date of birth. One of those must be approved photo ID (ex. driver's license or passport. Note that Ontario Health Cards are not accepted).
Cheques
When renting an apartment we require payment of last month’s
rent on the day you rent the apartment
and a postdated cheque for the first month’s rent dated
the 1st day of your lease.
Pre- Authorized Payment (PAP) /
Post Dated Cheques
We offer our residents the convenience of paying their monthly
rent with either our PAP program or with post-dated cheques.
In order to take advantage of these easy methods of payment
we require either a void cheque or 12 post dated cheques to
accompany an application.
If your move in date is within 15 days of renting the apartment
we will require a certified cheque or
money order for payment of your last month’s rent.
We realize that not everyone is able to provide the above-required
information. If you have any concerns
